Easter Madness

Our first Easter event was an egg hunt with a few of our closest friends.
We hunted eggs...

Checked out what we got...
And ate almost all the candy before lunch time.

Friday afternoon I took J to get a haircut. He really needed it. He told the lady he wanted a rockstar haircut so she cut it short and spiked it up. He loves it. Of course now I'm required to spike, gel and hairspray his hair. It looks cute though!
Friday night the kids stayed the night with grandma S and Saturday they met me at the zoo for their Easter activities. We didn't get there until about 1:00 so it was a bit crowded but not terrible. M sat on the Easter Bunny's lap but J was having none of it. I don't blame him. That big bunny was creepy.
We collected candy from all the stations and counted wooden eggs throughout the whole zoo. The kids were so tired and my foot was killing me but we still managed to have a good time!
We had to make a trip to see the dead zebra. Why they felt it was necessary to add this to the lion exhibit I'll never know but it's J's favorite thing in the whole zoo. He's such a boy.
We even got our first sno cones of the season! Warm weather is officially here. Sno cones and Sonic drinks at Happy Hour are now the norm.
They even got these cute Easter masks for finding the wooden eggs.

Of course on Sunday morning we woke up to find a special bunny had visited our house!
Notice we are STILL wearing the mask even at 8 AM.

Then we headed to my parents' house for the day where we hunted eggs again, played outside a bunch and ate more desserts than should be humanly possible. We're not even going to discuss what my diet consisted of today.

J and daddy even built a super cool Bat garage for the Batwing. J is really into Batman right now. Everything is Batman or must involve Batman in some way. It's exhausting! :)
I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!
