Red Sox Game!!

Please ignore how awful we look. It was 107 degrees and we were in the sun. Enough said.

First Day of school for M!

This is what happens when you have to be at school at 7:30 in the morning and you are NOT a morning person.

Once she woke up we were all good.

I think J was a little excited to be sending her off to school.

You know what we've done this week? Well let's see... I've managed to workout every single day somehow, I ordered some new protein shakes that I love, we've practiced soccer in preparation for our first games this weekend, we had a playdate with my friends' little girl where we went swimming at the Y, we've been to Target numerous times, built a Star Wars ship with Legos that my son adores, moved an office to the basement and made the old office a spare bedroom/playroom. It's been a productive week but we've managed to have a lot of fun too. I'm hoping the warm weather is here to stay this time because I hate being stuck in the house very much! I very much prefer to keep my children (and the mess) outside.

A Change Is Coming

Ok I promise not every blog post will be like this, but I thought about something today while I was bleaching underneath the bathroom sinks. (Yeah don't ask.) Maybe my relationship with God has been a lot like the relationship I have with my children. I tell them over and over again what the right thing is and eventually I just shut up and let them make the mistake because they aren't listening anyways and I'm wasting my energy trying to tell them they are making a bad choice. I think God has been trying to tell me something since early last fall and I was scared to hear it so I didn't listen. I kept feeling like something was pulling me in a certain direction but it's a big change and it's scary and I was too damn scared to just trust my instincts and God's voice. So here I am, after months of being scared and nervous about taking a big step in life and I'm finally going to do it. I figure at this point I've tried everything else and that voice is still there telling me where I really need to be. It'll be fine. I know at the end of the day it will be just fine. :) And for those of you who know about these big changes, shhhh. I'm not ready for everyone to know just yet. The changes are good and I believe my family will be much happier because of them. It's all good.
